second oil change will be a snappy for sure.

finished up the job this morning... used a pair of pipe wrench as a member said earlier to remove the oil filter... I totally mangled up that oil filter somehow I cant upload the pic...

That was off my R1. It's located behind the headers and luckily I was doing it when I was putting in a full system so it was easier access.

2 things for you bud.

1. Import oil filter wrench. I bout one back in 1997, and still have it and use it regularly.

I think every used vehicle I've ever bought the first oil change has been disastrous due to either over tightened filter, or stripped drain plug. I'm apparently only able to buy vehicles from roided out gorillas who don't know their own strength.

I had one oil filter that I bought 3 different filter wrenches and punched two screw through before it would come off. The thing was unrecognizable as an oil filter by the time I got it off.

So yeah ... only hand tighten the filter when you put it back on.
