Funny you guys mention that, I only just wrote up a how to for high beam flashing to open ur garage.

Also a small review of how mine is holding up.
I love it! Nothing more simple than just pushing the button when I pull up, or out. The other day it was raining when I got home and using it that one time made it all worth it. I get more range than all my cars and it opens every time I push the button.

I did notice that if I install the unit with the cord facing forward that it gave me another 15 feet of range when pulling in.

All in all its a great addition to the bike!

My garage opener is a Chaimberlain or something like that. I was at Home Depot and saw they sell keychain remotes for mine. I picked one up, programmed it in like 2 seconds, removed the little metal chain clip and red 3M tapped it on that flat metal fairing support plate under the tach.

Out of the way but there when I need it.

I've had one of these since before the site was live (sort of a guinea pig) and it's worked great since day 1. I have the micro waterproof switch. I have since converted my R1 to a race bike, so I have this hidden in my car. It's great in there because I park outside and I don't have to worry about if someone breaks into my car and have a huge garage door opener in plain sight. So now my garage and house are a bit more protected than they were when I have a regular opener in the car.
