Newbie Insurance help!

Looking to get Insurance in So. Cal. Ive had my M1 for about 2 years with a Motor Safety certificate.
I have a 08 R6S.
I already have a large insurance payment($160month) due to full coverage on a new Car(2012), so I'm on a bit of a budget.
My incurrence company doesn't do motorcycle so I can't bundle.
I don't want to under insure myself but also don't want to over do it.
The bike is garaged at night and in a secured parking garage at work.

What is the best company to go with?
What type of plan should I get?
How much is to much for insurance?

Progressive: $3812year full coverage(way to high for me)
$170year liability
$1383year liability + theft

GEICO: seams much cheaper but they make you build your policy and I don't know what I need...

Is liability+theft(covers fire,theft & vandalism) good enough?

Holy shit! I pay $70 a year for liability with progressive for my 04. Im going to be adding theft here soon so hopefully it doesnt go up THAT much!

For full coverage on two bikes and liability on one, I pay $600/year. One of those bikes is a 2010 Ducati 848.

$250 for basic liability on my 05 here. My life insurance policy covers personally injury up to $250,000. Been accident free for two years, so NOT getting full coverage has saved me money.

IMO liability and theft is enough as long as you can live without your bike/have the money to fix it if you crash it.

Paying the cost of the bike in less than two years is crazy! Might as well just save the extra money in case something happens.

I don't even have theft. Just get a scorpion GPS system. $500 and you never have to worry about your bike getting stolen again.

Get a quote DIRECTLY from progressive's website. I'm 21 and got full insurance for $30 a month. Granted I have an older R6, but it was still a 600cc sportbike.
