Question about coils....

Was just wondering how often everyone is having coils go out? since i have had my 03, i've replaced 6. i bought in 2006 and they had already been switched out to the denso's. im averaging 1 every 2 years, but...i just had to replace 2 this past weekend.

no problems with the 08 as of yet, but not riding due to prepping for paint job im going to do. anyway, thanks for the inputs in advance. rubber side down guys.

I had one on my 05 go out with around 15,000 miles on it. Still ran okay but just felt different so I checked them and one was just barely out of specs but I ended up replacing all of them to be on the safe side. I hear from idling in traffic when it's really hot out causes them to go bad after time.

you think age has anything to do with it? when i came home from japan after 2 years i got on it hard one day and mid ride i blew one and its the same cylinder, #2. this time however, #1 and #2 went. i have replaced #2 i know on at least 4 seperate occasions. could it possibly be a wiring problem or are these coils just that crappy?
