Re: December ROTM Submission Thread

Lets see if there is love for the 2nd gens, I bought her in 2007 off of Craigslist with just the slip on and the hid kit and 11,000 miles, the rest is all me. She was my daily driver for almost a year (thank god for a mild winter that year) and current mileage is just under 50k. She has never left me stranded while at the same time giving some of the best experiences you can have in on and around bikes. Currently debating a newer bike but I just can't justify it when this one is exactly how I want it minus a set of minty lightweight wheels. But here she is my road bitch:

Year: 2005
Model: R6
Engine Performance Mods: Hinson slipper w/ oem plates, powercommander with custom tune, velocity stacks, ignition advancer, slide stops, block off plates, Devil Highmount, K&N filter, Iridium plugs, -1 520 conversion, NRC covers
Chassis/Controls Mods: Racetech gold valving front and rear with proper springs, Braking KX12 rotors and rear wave, Vesrah RJL pads, ASV levers, Goodridge shadow lines, Ohlins top mount dampner, Vortex rearsets, Vented Brakes caliper ducts
Accessories: Stomp grip, R7 emblems, Giles chain adjusters, Corbin seat, Motovation frame and barend sliders, Hid kit, hotbodies flushmount signals, motodynamic smoked tail, Smoked double bubble screen, solo cowl, custom powdercoating to black everything out and red valve cover side cover emblems

I think we've got a winner... I remember reading and following along as those fairings were made... Such a sick bike, full race motor, YEC ECU, and all that... Really nice machine you've got there!

Re: December ROTM Submission Thread

1992 Ducati 900/944ss

My father bought this bike brand new back in 92. Over the years growing up we built this bike, i consider it a family heirloom and it is now mine. Alot of blood, sweat and tears went into this bike. We did almost all of the work except for the frame, paint and engine.

The engine and frame mods were done by Guy Martin in Montreal, Canada. HE owns MBP Ducati.

mbpducati.com

The engine was built as he was pioneering his own design of collets that increased the valve adjustment increments significantly.

He use to build alot of the race engines for the factory AMA Ducati race teams which are no longer in the series.

The engine has been bored out, ported and polished, crank has been lightened, 2 sparkplugs per cylinder as per the stock 1 per cylinder and a lot of other things that would take a lot of brainstorming to remember. i have all the documentation on it but couldn't find it for this wright up. It has aprox 114hp at the rear wheel which is up from the stock of about 90.

The frame has had extra bracing and has been nickel plated. The rear shock was offset on the swingarm.

Aftermarket parts

Full floating Brembo Rotors
Aftermarket Brembo Calipers Front and Back
Mikuni Fcr41 carbs
Aftermarket clip ons
Steering Damper
Stm Dry slipper clutch
Stainless steel braided brakelines front and rear
Stainless steel braided oil lines
Ohlins rear shock
Racetech Front internals
Marvic Wheels
Custom Airbrushed paint
Custom Ignition to accomodate 2 spark plugs per cylinder
Corbin Seat
Termignoni Exhaust
And im sure im missing some things but thats all i can remember off the top of my head.
