Wow that's a pretty good price for a venue that's purpose built for F1.

yea usually down here we pay like 100-160 per TD, the nice out of state tracks that are close by are about double that usually.

460$ imho is way overpriced, but im sure its because so many people are willing to pay it,im honestly gonna start saving, i want to race next year so 800 counting gas for 1 TD sounds a little steep to me, def gonna try to make it tho

im 100% willing to pay it, just dont make enough to justify 1 day for that much $$$

$450 and four riding groups. I wonder how many other track day organizers will get a shot at COTA?

There are only 26 tracks in the world built to F1 standards and 1 in the US. $460 is an expensive trackday for those of us who are just going out to play but it's pretty reasonable for a world-class facility.
With that said I'm on the fence about whether or not to go. I probably will, it's a nice track but that's a lot of money to just go play.

thats my reasoning as well, although i may go just because its brand new, with texas weather who knows how long the track will stay smooth and uncracked

Any Org that wants to setup track days there can as long as they have the cash to rent the track. Theres nothing special about RideSmart except they pursued COTA and put the money down to get a weekend.

By the way I'm signed up for Saturday only. Two days is just to much for me right now.

for 225$, how much the organizers charger, we have New Hampshire Motor Speedway, New Jersey Motorsports Park and now New York Safety Track.

Loudon (NH) is only an hour away from me

460$ is still STEEP for a regular joe going for a trackday, even if its a world class facility, which i dont doubt. but hey if it was near me id be eating ramen all day to save up for a chance to ride it. but i dont like ramen much.
