parole is like probation but for people that have been in jail and got out early


Parole can be denied for any reason, but me being 24, no previous record, non violent crime i have a really good chance but i would hate to roll that dice and be stuck for 2 years when i could have just done 1 and been done with it


and if i get out at 6 months im on probation for 2 years, instead of it just being done

The no strings after the year could be worth it though...

I know what parole is; I've spend a weekends in prisons as a kid (true story)...My pops - nuff said.
I've probably spent more time in prison than anyone here, not proud of it, just a fact (not as a inmate)...

yea, the thing scares me is not getting parole and being there for 2 years, dont plan on getting in trouble ever again so the parole doesnt matter too me

Do you know which facility you would be in?

not yet, ill get autumn to let you know, Letters help if i go for the 2 year option if i can get people write some letters saying how i would be better out than in jail

I honestly don't think you will do the full two years, if you stay out of trouble there and maybe get into a program.

i dont either but its a big risk and then i have to deal with parole
