Re: Back in the day..

Back in the day kids use to share their toys

Back in the day you had to sit next to a window to play your gameboy pocket

Back in the day imagination was used on the daily

Back in the day we used rubbing alcohol on wounds, not that peroxide stuff

Back in the day girls were nasty up until you were 16

Back in the day hide-n-seek started after school, and ended at nighttime, or just continued until you got in
trouble

Back in the day getting in trouble meant a serious whoopin

Back in the day you had the same little bike until your knees ran into the bars

Back in the day crash bandicoot and donkey kong were awesome

Back in the day a construction site meant plenty of scars and bruises trying to be a Pro BMX rider

Back in the day being inside was a punishment

Back in the day getting a new action figure meant trading one of yours with a buddy

Back in the day most afternoons were spent climbing trees and swinging off

lets rewind time!! so much better back then

Both of those were my shit! We'd spend all day playing in the half built houses and stuff... Such a blast! Being grounded, or made to stay inside was BRUTAL... Now, I've got a little brother that wants nothing to do with going outside, or doing anything really other then XBOX... It blows my fcuking MIND...

Re: Back in the day..

Construction sites were almost ALWAYS good for finding penthouse and other hardcore magazines too!!

Man, I would LOVE to go back to a green screen phone. I would LOVE to find the flip one I had where only the mouth part flipped down. Or maybe my old silver Startac!!

$1 per minute on cell phones until they went from analog to digital!!!

When the cell phone industry wasn't de-regulated!!

When sending faxes was a good time.

And I definitely nearly broke my dick once on a jump I built and then cemented in time with some plaster from a half finished home in my neighborhood!

When you'd get rides in the FRONT of a police car cause it was a nice thing for the officer to do as he drove you to the seen of the latest graffiti massacre you created!

Lighting fires in the woods at Age 11.

Lighting fireworks off and 2 ounce rockets out of your T-ball stand!!!!!

Awe man, they make it so easy to get fat now and Candy prices have tripled since back in the day.

Back in the day a snickers bar was $.50 and a legit treat you'd try not to beg for on the way out of the supermarket for fear of the backhand!

Only once... Shit, I used to jump my bike off anything I could find... genital abuse ensued... More often then not...

I hear you on the fireworks... Bottle rockets and roman candles were ALWAYS a good time with my buds! Oh the good ole' days...

Exactly... they wonder why childhood obesity is on the rise...

Back in the day I wouldn't go home until it was dinnertime... Never stopping to think, I'm hungry...

Back in the day when I had ACTUAL chores, and was given no allowance...

Back in the day when I mowed lawns with a neighbors borrowed mower, to make a few bucks to buy my own first bike...

Back in the day, when kids ACTUALLY earned the toys, bikes, and games they had...

These days kids have such an assumed entitlement...

My lil bro(15 years younger) broke his XBOX... Had a new one within the week... After that, he broke the TV with his Wii controller, and again a new TV within the week...

I'm like, back in the day I would have gotten my ass beat to within an inch of my life and would have NEVER ever considered asking for a new TV... The TV would have just been broken... for months, if not years... and I would have played outside, like a kid is supposed to!

Back in the day, my TV was the old GE one from the kitchen that was literally 13 inches TOPS!! Bunny ears, coat hangers, UHF/VHF booster and some foil and I had 3 channels broadcasted all the way from NYC that I could get due to the altitude of my old house (NJ high point was visible from upstairs!

I blame child obesity on the lack of bullying.

I personally stole 4 gym locker locks from the fat kid in 8th grade until he got in a bunch of trouble and cried about it literally. Saw the dude workin at Outback handful of years back. He's lost all the weight and I tipped him %50 on the bill out of happiness for him/guilt.

You'd FAIL gym class for not running the mile under 8:30 and Gym was not optional and being a gym class warrior was 100% encouraged.

What ever happened to that just being a part of life? I got bullied plenty... I turned out just fine... Course it doesn't help when your the only white kid with red hair back in the day at a school that was 90% black...

Living in Silver Spring(outside of DC) was rough... But back in the day, overcoming adversities like that as a kid was part of life... Kids are so sheltered these days...

What happened to fights after school out behind the gym back in the day, because you were tired of being picked on... Proved your shit, and nobody fcuked with you anymore... It's a dog eat dog world out there... These days people are raising cats(PUSSIES)... It's scary to think what the future will hold for these future generations...

Back to reminiscing...
