What are my options for something similar to a power commander, i was looking to buy one but i cant find one for the 2002 model, the lowest year is 2003, is my only option the dynojet kit? and would the dynojet kit even be worth it
The '02 is not fuel injected. Just have it re-jetted with a dynojet kiti f you put on a different exhaust. If the bike is stock and you want to keep it that way I'd leave it alone.
Ivans needles and flocommanders have got my 01r6 running crisper than my dyno tuned 06R6. When your fuel injected bike with a powercommander goes for custom mapping , it is being setup for the exact weather and air density at the dyno center. Let the weather change and the setup is no longer optimum.
A carbed bike with flocommanders can be fin etuned for all conditions , on the fly with the turn of a dial. My 01 runs so incredibly well with this setup i am kicking myself for not trying it sooner. It also comes in handy when going through the mountains as the air fuel requirements change with altitude.
I started with the hi speed system and it worked so well i went for the pilot also. here is a pic with the main airjet system. These along with a krankvent have brought my bike alive. :fact
thanks guys that helped out alot, i have a full system yoshi exhaust and k&n air filter so i just wanted something to help pull a little more power out of it all.
