starter problems?

Sometimes my 05 is a mother to start... it seems that the few times I bumped the kill switch and tried to restart it the starter doesn't kick on and roll over, so I sit there turning the key back and forth hoping to catch what sounds like the starter to kit on again... does this sound like a starter problem or wiring? ...also the other week I was getting my RPM's up and at about 7k the engine sputtered hard, it continued to do this a few times the rest of the day and a few times the engine actually shut off.... any suggestions anyone?

I had this problem this summer.

When you'll read how I fixed it, you'll laugh.

The killswitch box isn't completely waterproof. Your bike is a 2005, it has seen a lot of roads and different weather (rain, shine, etc.) and there's probably a lot of junk inside. Open it, clean it (especially the connections), close it, try it.

Worked for me :)
