Just got my 1-piece in my mail and trying to figure out whats the best thing to wear under it when I attend track days this year or wear it on spirited rides.
Certain material that helps slide the suit on and off easier than others?
There are a few companies that make 1pc undersuits, I've heard good things about the Moto-D undersuit. I personally just wear a long sleeve under armour shirt and a pair of under armour leggings.
I have a starter one and it works well, but it's getting pilly from my belly rubbing it into my suit I guess? Under armour has held up much better for me.
I also have a few of the Army issued under armour shirts and they are the tits for sure!!!
I use under armour compression shorts, whatever socks I pull out of the drawer that day, and a long sleeve under armour heat gear shirt. Long sleeve is clutch, because you can slide in and out (TWSS) of the suit easier with it on.. And you don't get a sunburn!
+1 for Moto-D. I got mine for less than the cost of UnderArmor shirt and pants. I usually wear that on Saturday and then on Sunday I mix match between UnderArmor and Nike compression stuff.
Anybody wear a turtleneck? I've never had the problem before, but this past weekend I got rub burn all the way around my neck. It was extremely painful.
I've only ever had issues with sunburn, and the suit rubbing my neck where it was burned.. Never "rug burn" though. What are you doing on your suit? :hump
DUDE! Find me long pants in heat gear! I've been searching forEVER for that! Nobody carries it, because anyone in their right mind in the summer wearing heat gear is wearing shorts normally. :laugh
Nike thicker ones for when it gets cooler (running tights I guess) and walmart brand starter for warmer days (<100F Texas summers :laugh). Dress socks for the boots.
I haven't seen anyone mention the moto-d one. They are a company that makes some decent cheap warmers. They also have a super affordable full undersuit that's CHEAP and I've seen a ton of people wearing it. They hand out flyers at trackdays and stuff. It's definitely worth looking into.
I've seen a LOT of people rocking em for a couple seasons and nobody has any bad feedback that I spoke to.
Same here, I have a tight black dancers Spandex shirt it highlights my figure.
But seriously I can get in and out of a leather suit in seconds wearing that stuff.
Unlike 2-piece separates which can bunch up and cost more and unlike tight "compression" gear which is restrictive on the bike and better suited for gym workouts, our MOTO-D Performance Riding Undersuit is super comfortable, cooling, and feels like a 2nd skin staying in place while increasing range of mobility.
Loved by riders in the AMA, CCS, WERA, NESBA, AFM, STT, OMRA, CMRA, TPM and premier racing organizations everywhere.
They made slipping in and out of the suit easier and kept the sweat from soaking the interior liner of my suit. ^_^ Get em while their cheap and on sale.
I wear Nike hot weather pro combat apparel 2 piece. I will vouch for moto-D, the owner is a great guy and his 1 piece suit is awesome, if I wouldn't have already owned the Nike stuff I would be wearing the Moto-D 1 piece.
