hi, i just got a yoshimura full exhaust system and was wondering if i should wrp it with the fiberglass wrap, i bike is for race only, i ve seen some bikes using it, but don't know if it really helps or not

I've considered doing it but read the wrap will hold in moisture and can rust stuff up. So if you wanna do it try ceramic coating, its the best way

if it made more power, pro race teams would do it.. they don't.
if you are protecting something from heat/burning, then wrap the area that you are trying to keep the heat from. I use stick-on reflective heat sheets on the inside of my belly pans to keep the header off the fiberglass in a couple spots.

The instructions on my akrapovic exhaust specifically stated NOT TO USE any type of wrap as it may cause corrosion and moisture build up. Also stated that it helps keep heat in instead of the pipes cooling properly which will lead to premature failure.

Again, that's what the instructions said. Meh.
