I got up this morning to go work and I get on my bike to start it, put the key in and turned it to the on position, all the lights came on and the tach did its normal run through the numbers. Kickstand was down, kill switch was not flipped and bike was in neutral. Hit the starter, all the lights went out and it sounded like it tryed to start, let go of the starter and all the lights came on again just as if i turn the key to the on position. Is this a bad battery? I have been out riding it all week, before I bought the bike it sat in a garage for 2 years, still has stock battery. it is a 2004 Yamaha r6. Anything will help.
I am going to get the battery tested tonight, will update.
sounds like dead battery to me
should be an easy fix
check out the carbon-speed battery in the product review section. a great way to loose 6 pounds off the bike.
Yeah man, sounds like the battery to me as well...
I dont know anything about the carbon-speed battery but if you want a great battery for a cheap price go to this site...mine just came in tday and got it in for the first start of the season and fired right up! Plus $56 bucks shipped is a good deal
I afree with these guys above. Had the same problem. try pop starting it. If it starts then it's def your battery. Sometimes you dnt even have enough power to get it pop started. But in your case you should be fine.
Yea so my battery had 10.6 volts and 100 cranking amps.....lol, ordered the new battery and just waiting now.....
