Yup take those 6 out, unclip everything and pull it off. Then its a piece of cake from there.
My bike came with agg block offs. I was changing the plugs and noticed the guy left the ais thing still clipped in, but took all the hoses off. Is it cool if I just unclip it and take it out? Hope so cause I did.
Just make sure the airbox hole is plugged (where the hose was that went from the airbox to the AIS unit). Otherwise your bike will suck unfiltered air through the old nipple.
If you don't have the right tool, and don't want to buy it..
A trick I learned with allen keys like that to get some leverage..
Stick the long end of the key in the screw, then stick the closed end of a little wrench on the short part, and you can make it work. Just like you are extending the allen key.
I don't feel like reading through the whole thread so if someone else suggested it then :321 but invest in a t handle hex key set...it'll help tremendously with lots of jobs on the bikes :fact
extended allen socket set $13 at harbor freight, been using the same set for 5 years. They make so many things on these bikes easier. I just had to tighten the set screws with locktite on a few of them.
