It lookes like it gives you a save as txt option under File, but when I tried it it did not work. adoby is tricky with its soft ware. They like to limit your options.

TexasR6's reader wasn't letting him open the file for some reason even after uninstalling the reader and then reinstalling it so I was just trying to find a way to see if i could convert the pdf file to something else that would maintain the integrity of the text and pics of the pdf file. I did find an online conversion tool (www.iconvert.com i think it was) that made it into a text file but it lost all the pics and formatting.

but I think he found a solution out to the problem. But I would still be interesting to know if this conversion thing is even possible.

What was the error he was getting? And is he using the newest reader?

If you save/export the PDF in a low enough version number you should be fine. for anyone to read.

As for another format, have you tried exporting the pdf as html? Im not sure if thats possible... I use acrobat distiller to make my pdfs.

And if you dead bent to just get it out, you can open a pdf in photoshop and save it as an image file.

this was the error he said he was getting.....

Acrobat just doesn't want to work. I reinstalled it and the exex file still causes an illegal page fault.

and he has un/re installed the latest version. I was looking at exporting it as html but I'm pretty retarded when it comes to puter stuff. My little buddy Cdemon likes to call me LUser so that should tell you something about my skills on these boxes. Although I can extract any info out of an Access Db if you need! whoopee!
Never even thought about opening it in PS and saving it as an image. As a measure of last resort, that sounds pretty feasible since it would have been only a few pages that I would have had to have done this with.

Thanks for your help guys! I appreciate it!

Cheers!

pdf files are just a printed file. so that's kind of like asking, "can i save an images as a word file?"

If you have the full version of Acrobat, you can just select all the text and copy and paste it into a Word document.

The picture idea sounds much better.

Well thanks for trying everyone. I just printed it at work. My computer is hosed because of all the hijacker shit I have on here. I have one that I just can't fix. Annoying as hell!
