what kinda tires?
hey guys i took my bike to get the service done and they told me i needed new tires. the tires have 4000 miles on them. i dont do any track time, i just street ride and once in a blue moon i do canyons. ive been looking around and i dont know what tires to get. what tires do you guys recommend? the pilot road 2ct, pilot power 2ct, brigdstone bt 016, brigdstone bt 021?
thanks guys
do the pilot power 2ct have a wider center than the pilot road 2ct?

Re: what kinda tires?
Out of the listed tires go for the power 2cts or 016s. Cyclesector has 2cts for 209 right now

Re: what kinda tires?
for your type of riding that you listed look at the Pilot Roads or the BT021's they offer good grip and you will get some miles out of them
the 2 ct has the same tire compound in the middle as the normal Pilot power and the sides are softer on the 2ct... I only get about 2500-3500 out of PP and the 2CT's and if I did straight rides (NO homo) they would not last as long

I'm with 32 ... I've had great luck with a Pilot road rear and a pilot power front for daily riding.
The Dunlop Sportmax is a good choice, too. http://www.dunlopmotorcycle.com/tire...ire.asp?id=101

Re: what kinda tires?
yeah i'm with those two^^^ Pilot Roads or the BT021's if you're not doing aggressive street or canyon riding that often.

Re: what kinda tires?
My 2cts have 3k on them and still have a ton of tread left. They have also saved my butt a few times in the turns (cold road, semi cold tires). I will probably go with nothing less anymore.

what he said....for your style get the 021. Very good tire with plenty of grip as well as rain grip if you get caught.
