about 3 and a half seconds, but I don't know the exact number. Definitely less than 4 seconds, though. That I'm sure of.

Was just digging through some old bike magazines this evening... and I came across some specs for various 600 machines....

Taken from Feb 2004 issue of Fast Bikes:

Keep in mind these are 2003 models , so the GSXR-600 is not the current model at the time..

0 - Terminal (top speed)

Kawasaki ZX-6R --------- 37.32 seconds
Triumph Daytona 600 --------- 40.28 seconds
Ducati 749S --------- 40.96 seconds
Yamaha R6 (2003) --------- 41.02 seconds
Suzuki GSX-R600 (03)--------- 41.33 seconds
Honda CBR600RR --------- 42.34 seconds

0 - 150 mph

Daytona - n/a (doesn't go to 150 mph )
Kawasaki ZX-6R - 21.15 seconds (bored at 636 ccs)
Ducati 749S - 23.88 seconds (749 ccs)
Yamaha R6 - 24.14 seconds <---- our bikes haul ass
Honda CBR600 - 34.45 seconds
Suzuki GSX-R600 - 37.45 seconds (oldest generation 600 in the test)

0-60 mph

Yamaha R6 - 3.77 seconds
Ducati 749S - 3.91 seconds
Kawasaki ZX6R - 3.98 seconds
GSXR/CBR600RR - 3.99 seconds
Daytona 600 - 4.10 seconds

Top Speeds

Kawasaki ZX-6R - 158.47 mph
Ducati 749S - 155.54 mph
Yamaha R6 - 154.76 mph
Honda CBR600RR - 152.46 mph
GSX-R600 - 151.51 mph
Triumph Daytona 600 - 149.75 mph

TOO lazy to type the 60-120 mph , 1/4 mile, and 6thgear rollon from 60-140 mph times

What Porsche? I already have 3 on my kill sheet. And that includes the new Turbo 993(?), whatever the new 911 is.

Oh and remember that time is a PROFESSIONAL with more than one attempt. So don't be fooled into thinking that you or anyone else on this board could match that number.

Find someone on the highway and do a 60mph roll-on from 2nd and what them disappear in your rearview.
