what are some musts and what could i live without

the gotta have things has to be:
helmet
leather jacket
leather gloves
boots

maybe later on you could get these:
leather pants
back protector

i would try to stay away from the textile/mesh stuff. they dont hold up as good. i seriously would get the leather jacket and pants together or just get a one piece suit. its all up to you. the more gear you wear the better your chances of not having to have a skin graft.
