Fuel Light Keeps Flashing

I had the tank off to get it painted. It still had a little bit of gas in it so When I put it back together i rode the bike to the gas station. On the way it was a solid fuel light then started to flash. I thought once filled it will stop. Still hasn't gone away after fill up. Its an 04 yamaha r6.

something is wrong with the fuel sensor

check on your connections under the tank and the wires going to the cluster and make sure there arent any breaks in anything.

Yeah, I think if you don't reconnect the fuel level sensor wire under the tank it does just what you say. I forgot to put mine on when I did my carbs and the light was flashing or on

fuel level connection isn't connected. problem solved.

not to be a dick, but if you had just lifted your tank back up im sure you would have found the problem faster than going online and typing out this thread...

I was holding the tank my buddy was connecting everything and I just opened up the tank and a connector not connected. Now everything is working thanks guys.
