My gear *pics*

Just got all my gear, thought I would show, and then see what everyone else has..

Helmet:
Shoei RF-1000

Boots:
AlpineStars S-MX Plus

Leathers: (thanks HAMMY!!)
AGV Vortex (Blue)

Textile Jacket:
Joe Rocket Alter Ego

Gloves:
Summer - Olympia Digital Protector BLUE (gel)

Winter - Teknic Cyclone (Yellow)

I gotta get a new pair of full leather gloves tho, some that are a bit more comfortable and match...I am thinking about the AlpineStars GP PLus gloves..

you won't get dissappointed with the GP Plus gloves. I have that pair (in balck) and love it! I also have the SMX boots. I like them but they were
a little stiff. I might try the Sidi next time.

Hey Don-
well I have to be honest, I did some looking and looking to find the stuff I wanted, and then I had to wait for the sale of my Jeep to have the cash. BUT I told myself when I sell the Jeep, before I buy anything, or pay off bills with the leftover $$...I am buying "good" gear.

From there, it is all about finding the best price. The leathers were really not as bad as I thought it would be. Yeah, I liked the $800 set, but honestly, the one I "wanted" was a really good deal from Hammy. OK, actually the second one, as Brian let me know my first choice was discontinued...and NOONE else online had that info out.

The leathers are still in transit, but will let you know when I get to put them on. I did a ton of reading and research and am hoping the AGV is as comfortable as everyone said.

I *almost* went with SIDI boots...I was really looking at them hard. I have heard they are great and very comfortable. BUT, I have an issue with buying shoes or boots online. I couldn't find ANY SIDI ones around to try on to get a exact fit. My local Cycle Gear had the AS boots, so I could try on all 15 sizes and find the right fit.

get some gear soon. for me a leather jacket, gloves and a helmet was a priority when i bought my R6. in fact i got my helmet a month before i bought my bike. i got my leather gloves a week before the bike. as for my jackets, i got those within a month after the big purchase.

You don't need to be a drug dealer to get sweet gear. All you need is a credit card! 24.99% fixed APR so you know you aren't getting screwed! The best part is you don't need any real money! SUCKERS!!!!

:lol, yeah... at least you know that you grabbed your own ankles instead of someone forcing you to!

Yoda:

I've been trying to sell a bunch of stuff lately so I have some extra $ but it along with the $ from 1 full time job & 2-3 parttime jobs gets spent on bills.. it sucks. I'm hoping this winter that I will get the CC's paid off and start saving for gear.

Plus your lucky that you have a place that stocks boots!!
