The BOMB ASS RECIPE thread...

Okay, so here I am sitting on the couch with my friend Mary checking out the NOM NOM NOM thread and it hit me, we are missing an equally awesome complimentary thread. Times are tough so we're stayin in more and cooking at home.

So, let's post up some bomb ass recipe's so we can all enjoy.....

I'll start....

Ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccolini...

Veggies:
Steam an adequate amount of broccoli or broccolini until it softens slightly, not more than 8-10 mine. Lightly salt, pepper, garlic powder and a very light drizzle of butter. Place on grill for 3-4 min and it's ready to go.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Start with and adequate number of small red potatoes (7-10). Wash them and cut them into quarters. Rinse them again to get some of the starch off. Put them in a pot. Add some salt and put on medium to high heat and boil until the skins start to peel a little. Drain water, add salt, pepper, garlic powder, a couple pats of butter, a little sour cream, and some milk. Mash the ump good or use the beaters to make them really smooth.

Ribeye steak

You will need to start preparing this at least the day before, so you prep Thursday what you want to have Friday. Get a couple ribeyes, try to get them 1" thick. Lay them on a plate and put on some balsamic vinegar and worchestershire on. Just enough to get the top wet and rub it around. Now add some salt, seasoned salt, pepper, and a generous amount of garlic powder. Flip them and do the same to the other side. Throw some Saran wrap over them and refrigerate them. Pull them out about the time you start the coals and let them warm up to near room temp before you throw them on. Try to have your temp around 350-400. Throw the steaks on for 6min. Rotate 45* and cook another 6 mins so you get those cool grill marks. Flip them and do the same on this side. Pull em and plate them with the veggies and potatoes. Plow that shit with the alcoholic beverage of your choice.....

Alcoholic beverage

If I may make a few suggestions. If it's hot as balls out, get some minute maid raspberry lemonade and mix it up. Get a tall glass, add a few ice cubes, 2-5 shots of jack daniels or gentleman jack based on preference and top with lemonade. For a good solid drink, jack and coke, beam and come, or sailor Jerry rum and coke are all valid. For a beer, add in a lagunitas Maximus IPA (or budweiser for those looking mainstream).

Enjoy and NOM NOM NOM....

Lol can't be that tough.

For a simple meal that is filling here is my recipe

HEART ATTACK PASTA

Buy a box of your favorite noodles, I like rotini noodles (the spiral ones).

Dump noodles into a backing pan and fill bottom of pan about 1/4 way up the noodles. Get a can of

and a can of

Pour both sauces on top and spread evenly.

Get a block of cheddar cheese and shred enough to cover the top of the sauce.

Cook at 350 for about 30-40 minutes or tell noodles are done.
