looking at getting something between the timex level and a tag. what do y'all think about the citizen brand? i'm nearly 33 and haven't worn a watch for more than a few days in my entire life. but now that i'm meeting with clients again on a regular basis and representing myself, i can't be pulling out a cell phone to check the time and date. i want something big though (that's what she said). so i like the ~45mm size (or bigger). but not like a wrist clock or something breitling would make (although they are pretty pimp).
i'm looking at this one... it's a 44mm x 12mm stainless steel (what i'm looking for), and i kinda like the way it looks. any thoughts, experiences, suggestions, hookups, etc? maybe other brands i should check out, or pawn shops i need to visit? haha
Citizen is decent and the eco-drive is cool.... But I guess I dont really know... I dont wear a watch, I just use my phone... and I have a couple watches, ranging from timex to Rolex....
Yeah, i have a few somewhat-baller watches and never got into them. I work in IT, so its 'kay for me to check my phone. As long as my phone is baller too.
if its for "meeting" purposes only, get whatever....but as an investment or as a 'grown man' piece, you should look to spend easily over a grand or two (and thats on the low end) for a reputable/recognizable/valued watch....every man should own a top notch watch at some point....theres many different brands/makers so its more of a personal opinion....
im not declaring myself a watch connoisseur but i been in the fashion/retail business for like 15yrs & know a little about style/fashion....plus im cool with a number of celebs/artist/musicians so i see how the rich folk live! lol
