Use stock undertail with track bodywork?(2002)

I just finally picked up the track bodywork for my first gen, and Im kinf of confussed if Im supposed to use the stock undertail or not. If I am, it looks like I might have to trim it? Does that sound right? Any help is much appreciated

I had the same delimma when i got my track plastics for my 02. Take the undertail off and run with no undertail at all. best option.

Hey man, I have a lead for you to follow if you'd like. The shop I goto had an 01 track/race bike for a few seasons. I look at the business cards and they had a black undertail piece in there. If you wanna call Ron and ask him how/what they did, I'm sure he won't mind.
