post 97 u said u were checking the TPS in the diag mode, ok cool.. i was telling u it will only do it once, then u have to start the sequence again.
U dont have to be / or shouldn't be in the diag mode to calibrate your TPS for the PCV, from what your saying it wont start. Just start the bike like u normally would, hit reset, WOT blips and save.
What was your TPS% saying when u watched it live?

Percentage shows as zero when I do it. It shows the voltage up to 0.733 or something, but no throttle % at all.
The other issue was that the bike won't start at all. keeps chugging but doesn't turn with either PCV plugged in or stock ECU in.
it will only pick up the TPS when the bike is running.... so gotta fix that first. i responded in your other thread. might have to reset the bike in the diag mode, thats what i had to do.

So I've fixed the code error and starting issue (thanks to Ohio and Minnesota) but now I have to configure the TPS..... I tried to put in the default values that Ohio suggested but it doesn't appear to be reading.
It looks like I have to use Minnesota's recommendation and do it while the bike is running. Because whenever I try to do it in Diag mode, the throttle sensor only goes to 50-something once, not reading in the PCV software, and when I switch it off/on the code 14/15 appears again.
If I wipe it it starts again. So Minnesota: Did you just start the bike normally with the PCV plugged in your computer, then open the TPS callibration tool in the PCV software?
So bike is running, open callibration, clear what appears, then open the throttle full, hit okay, turn the bike off/software should pick it up automatically?
I just want to try it once because when it was running the software was showing throttle at 100% (it was just idling) and the AFR was up in the 16's so I shut it off. I didnt want to let it run with it reading that high. But the AFR/RPM was reading when I pulled the throttle a little bit.
yea.. the voltage got messed up in the TPS cal it looks like when u were messing with it so thats why its showing 100%..
Dont even worry about the DIAG mode on the bike anymore(for this).. So yea, have everything all plugged in, let the bike warm up, have your computer going so u can watch, open the TPS cal box, click on the reset button, blip the throttle WOT for a quick sec then save it.. Dont hold the throttle down to try and get the bar to move all the way across the cal box,,, it wont. Have you found this to read up on yet? And the AF's in the 16's isnt that bad.
open below link and click "To Calibrate the Throttle Position"
Awesome.... worked great. 0% throttle when closed, 100% when open. And the AFR isn't as high.... it hovers around 13.5 to 14 but sometimes up to 14.5 at the highest (but not often).
Would it matter if I lowered my AFR target tables?
Mind you, this is warmed up in the garage. I need to take it around the block (but this is for track/racing so I will likely need to take it up there in a few weeks to play around with it). It still smells rich though.
Although the voltage on the TPS was noticeably lower than what was on here. 0.645 minium, I forget what the max was but it was lower than Ohio's 3.991).

The TPS voltage will vary from bike to bike.. the AF will bounce around a little bit, wouldnt worry about it as long as its not surging.
