Forks lowered how does that affect steering

So when I bought my now new to me 2001 the guy before me had the forks pulled through the triples about 1.5 inches (I assume he did this because he was short) anyways it feels like it doesn't want to turn very easy and I am wondering if I put it back to stock if that will help.

if you lowered the rear as well while keeping the same rake. there shouldnt be any problems. see what size tire is on the front and see if there is a lowering link installed on the rear.

LOWERING the bike's front end will help turn in, so if he RAISED it, you will notice a hell of a difference and will have to fight the bike more. put it back to stock and see how it feels. shouldn't take but a half hour to an hour
