Back in the day..

Let's all reminisce together. Or bitch together, laugh together, whatever.

I'll start.

Back in the day being bullied and bullying was part of life.

Houses were built with way cool shit like laundry chutes and dumb waiters.

Parents hit their kids. (I kno from experience)

Back in the day cars had points, carbs, were rear wheel drive and people put chains on to get around.

Back in the day people used to be social, not be on a social network. Block party anyone?

Back then, slip an slides were the hot shit. Crocodile mile ALL DAY!

Back in the diday gas was .85 a gallon for my turbo ford probe.

Re: Back in the day..

Back in the day, people said hi to each other in the street instead of making it a point to stare at the ground while passing people.
Only girls wore tight clothing which revealed their body shape, now guys do.
We played basketball in the driveway and football in the front yard. Now both of those take place in front of the TV.
Getting in a fight at school meant you got sent home, where your dad would either beat your ass, or pat you on the back, depending on the circumstances. Now people get suspended for days, get investigated, and have to make sure it wasn't racially motivated.
Too much to say, must get back to work.

Back in the day...

Snicker bars cost about a quarter
A gallon of gas was less than a dollar
There was less fat people...
The big mac was the shi... and it was only a dollar

And all white girls had flat asses... now we got whooties

Re: Back in the day..

Back in the day:

When I used to put together racetracks and run my matchbox cars down them

Playing with domino rally was off the chain

Hooking up the N64 and playing mario for the first time was a life changing event

Building lemonade stands and selling it to the neighbors wasn't a problem.

Getting into my dad's TRUE station wagon with wood grain trim on the side was actually cool

Riding my bicycle around town trying to find the biggest jump was a saturday event

Dodgeball in the front yard was an activity

Terrorizing Wal-Mart was the only fun thing to do

Street racing 4 cylinder hondas was cool before it was "cool."

Back in the day...

You could wish someone a "Merry Christmas" without offending someone else.

Only the team that actually WON got a trophy.

It was OK NOT to like something.

Children had discipline and it was accepted.

People had pride in themselves and paid their way without expecting handouts.

Farrah Fawcett was HOT!
