I JB welded the holes in the stock plates my question is should i leave the butterfly valves in so the plates seal onto the engine or take them off?

Re: DIY smog block off plates
on the 2nd gen guys were flipping the reeds over so they can't open. proably not even needed but that's what everyone was doing. that was back before reasonably priced plates were invented. frigging graves wanted like 60 bucks for them

Cliff notes: Less pop and gurgle on deceleration (with aftermarket exhausts mostly), you get to pull out your AIS pump and a bunch of hoses (make sure to plug the nipple on the airbox), if you get your bike tuned you'll get a more accurate tune/air fuel ratio, or if you are using the Power Commander AutoTune it's a must
