flash ECU?

came up in another thread and I didnt want to thread jack there.

Is flashing her any good for the street? From reading it looks like the throttle bodies will open up at 100% throttle, so it won't make the bike super twitchy on the road.

If this is legit, how can I get this done (at an affordable price)?

The reflash is mostly for 06+ R6's as they restricted the ECU quite a bit.

I asked one time about the reflash for my R6S but they said there was only a few things it would improve (which I can't remember right at the moment

Re: flash ECU?

not worth it for the 6S, nor if you're street only it's only a waste of money.

sure you can buy it just to say you have it done, but rarely, if ever, will you be pushing the bike that hard on the streets to be able to benefit from it.

Bike: Sold off in pieces.
It's literally the last thing anyone should worry about, imo... The very last someone should do, once they're already STUPID fast on the track.

just wondering if getting the tools to tune the ECU itself for good A/F, timing curves, etc, etc would be cheaper over all then buying all the dynojet stuff.

On my Trans Am, i spent 750 bucks to get the cable and two VIN's to use EFILive to tune it mafless, adjust VE Tables, add timing for NA, pull timing for nitrous, etc, etc..

Assuming the same could be done on a bike?

I was kinda thinking the same thing; I mean, it's worth a look since I will already be dynoing, but I won't benefit much because I won't be fast enough to use it to it's potential.

Chances are good that you'd just screw your bike up... Pick up a bazzaz Zfi and AFM and make all the maps you want with the click of a button.
