HID issue

I recently just picked up a set of hids from Agg, and they worked perfect the first week. But I came home from a ride and noticed my low beam was out but my high beam was fine. When i turn on the bike the low beam turns on for about a second and then shuts off. Could it be a bad ballast or do I need a relay, or something like that?

Re: HID issue

Check to see if your connections are secure. Where did you connect the ground wire to?

Re: HID issue

you probably need a relay, but double check with Agg he'll know what to do.

Switch the bulbs and see if your problem moves or stays

Re: HID issue

Sounds like a bad ballast. I haven't heard of anyone needing a relay with the standard 35 watt HIDs. I got mine back when Krypton was first getting started, so mine have been in for a while, no relay.

As already mentioned you just need to switch parts around to verify which part is the problem. Also double check all your connections just to be sure.

Re: HID issue

it sounds like you're not getting enough steady juice... so i'd START by telling you to run a relay. at least on the lowbeam side. IF the problem persists, let me know, and i'll get ya squared away.

Re: HID issue

tried to run a relay, and that didnt help, switched the lights that didnt work, switched the ballasts and the problem followed to the other headlight, so it has to be a bad ballast i suppose.
