I'm going INSANE!

...with INSANITY...

THIS will by my tracker as I progress through the Insanity diet and workout. Plain and simple, I'm tired of being fat, and feeling lazy and out of shape...

Between the divorce, depression, and getting out of the Military a few months back, I've put on some serious LB's...

So here I will document my progress and weight loss. I'll update with picture's and progress each week... and check in daily after my workout...

I started the diet and workout yesterday and I'm already SORE! After the first couple weeks I think I'll get into the swing of things, but these first couple weeks WILL suck!

The diet is made up of 5 meals a day, most only 300 calories, with a 500 calorie meal after your workout. I will be following the Insanity cook book for meals. The meals are actually quite reasonable, and have a great mix of healthy foods which naturally energize you as well. There are several DVD's, each day a different one used, each week varies the workouts as well. Sunday is an off/recovery day.

This being my first post, I'll show my starting point. (Please refrain from any negative comments or bashing, I know I'm fat. I'd appreciate some positive encouragement)

Here's where it began...

Height: 68"
Weight: 210.4

My first measurements, weight, and fit test.

and then, the embarrassing pictures...

Wish me luck! Second workout tonight in the bag!

RIP Richard Bishop. You're a great friend and someone I will never forget.

Good luck dude. You got it for fun! You're not fat by any means either! You'll tone that up in no time.

Good luck! Be sure to keep us all posted on your progress. If you force yourself to follow the workout each day (No excuses for not working out) you will hit your target weight in no time.

Re: I'm going INSANE!

Good job man, keep up and stick with it. The hardest thing is probably sticking it through the whole time. Try not to cheat too much with the food and stuff. Cut back on soda's and sugary drinks. Eat less carbs and more protein.
I did P90X, but I have a profound respect for Insanity. That's really intense. But be strong, don't quit and stay motivated. I know what you're going through. I've been through the same, just not so recent. I literally was in the same position as you. Im 5'9' 185 lbs now. I was at 210 before, So even though it doesn't seem like you lose much weight, you do lose the fat. You put on more weight when you build muscle.
So don't focus too much on the scale, just watch the fat disappear. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat. Stay motivated, hydrate and never quit man. It'll get so much easier after the first week. Trust me.

Goodluck man
