Power Pilots are the best tire I have ever ridden on period. I rode the crap out of them on my 02 R6 and have just put a set on my 05 R6. competitionaccessories.com has a tire combo package on them for $215.

Yeah, dan, u can change that tire to 05 spec. The number is the profile, or diff from the rim to lip. The 70 raises the wheel up a little, but the bike gets a huge boost in stability. That change may have made the damper obsolite!! The 05 is def a twitchy little bug, more so than previous 6s
As for a tire, the powers seem to work well, and r fairly priced. I don't know how well they hold up on tread wear, but 3000 or so sounds right.

60 to 70

How does it affect the ride if changed front tire from 60 to 70, without any other mods. Is it possible, safe?

No tire will EVER make a damper obsolite!!! and yea my 05 twitches like a mother ****er while shifting at high speeds ..... but that's because the front end is trying to come up hehehehehe ..... down boy !!!

in other posts they have said switching from 60 to 70 you need to add a shim (www.traxxion.com) to the suspension in the rear

I ride Pilot Powers also, and i love them. I have never slipped on them, except my tire kinda falters on sharp corners, where the tire hits the white stuff made from stop signs.

Other than that, they are awesome.
