hello everyone my name is drew i have just recently bought my 2004 r6 and was looking to see if anyone on here was out in the quad cities area or close enough to it to ride with. bike has rear fender eliminator, dynojet power commander, yoshimura rs-3 exhaust and a few other things done to it i live in moline illinois and work in rock island.

Semi-local would be Ames, Iowa. My parents live in Janesville, WI also.. I'm pretty much track-only anyways.. Get comfortable on that bike, pick some gear up over the winter and hit the track this spring!

Oh okay what track you run at? I have all my gear but some riding pant, and a racing suit I will definitely come up during the spring time for some track time on it. And thanks everyone. I am loving the bike so far

There aren't too many that are "close", but the closest ones are Blackhawk Farms, Autobahn Country Club, Gateway, Iowa Speedway, Heartland Park, Putnam Park, Grattan, Road America, Brainerd, Mid America Motorplex, Hastings... and that's pretty much all I can think of in a ~10 hour radius of you/me.

For the track you'll need a helmet (obviously), full gauntlet gloves, suit (I recommend a one-piece), a back protector is highly recommended, and riding boots. Get comfortable on the bike so things like panic braking are a natural instinct. You don't wanna be mixing up the brake lever and the clutch lever on the track.

Yea I used to race cars at gateway and I've raced go karts at road America I have the helmet what would be a good pair of riding boots I have a pair of alpine stars but I know they are to low for the track. Yea that would be horrible mixing those up haha
