1st gear low rpm rattle

When taking off from a stop. Bike seems real sluggish and makes a rattling sound until above 2000 rpm...Its brand new off the showroom floor..Anyone run into this before?

Man if that's normal that sucks...I ve had 3 bikes before this one. None of them made that noise. Two were gixxer 750's, the other was a YZF 600r..

Mine too. If you feather the clutch until 2k you can get around it.

the r6 doesn't like low speeds...and by doesn't like, I mean it throws a fit at under 15mph unless you ride the clutch

I've an 02 R6, just got it out of the shop from getting all of the valves adjusted, carbs clean, plugs changed etc etc. It does it too, like he said. The R6 doesn't like slow speeds.
