Bike won't start...another one.
Was running fine to ride over to tech and fill up, I pulled away and it started sounding louder and lower, sputtering a little bit. The bike stalled, restarted then did the same thing and stalled. It won't start now and is throwing a Code 46, it will crank all day though and very once in a while make an attempt to start. I've been searching and can't seem to find anything relevant. Quick replies are appreciated, I'm wasting track time.

I unplugged the PC3 thinking that could be the problem...no cigar.

Also tried push starting...nothing.
Stator tests fine, battery voltage is fine also.

Changed the tank and fuel pump out, didn't put gas in or try to start...still throws code 46.

Checked fuses and throttle body electrical connectors?
2nd gen manual says code 46 is improper voltage to FI system relay. Not sure if it's the same on 3rd gen.

Yep...everything checks, I'm at a complete loss. Which is the FI relay?

When you say you disconnected the PC3, did you physically remove it and re-connect everything like stock?
Do you have your service manual?
http://ecuflashking.com/r1/manuals/
It goes into detailed tests for the fuel injection system.

Yes I completely disconnected it and hooked it up OEM, I think it was actually your reply to a thread where that was the cure that prompted me to do that! I'm going through the manual now, I just swapped out the regulator and still 46.
