exhaust note

im over to the r6 from the 600rr so dont burn me yet. i couldnt find the answer to my question searching so here i am. i have a header for my 06. im looking for a slip on (i have aftermarket headers) setup that will have a nice throaty moto gp sounding note without being so loud it attracts attention of the 5-0. anybody have any opinions? and ya i know theres youtube videos but its different in real life, i also know i need a pc3 as well its on my list

If you have the stock headers and are simply dropping in a slip on, you don't need a PC3. If you we're doing a full system then that's a different story.

Re: exhaust note

Without the cat, they are all loud. The Akra and Leo sound good. The Termi and Racefit sound good too, but those are going to be loud with a header. Some of them offer a sound insert to help lower dbs.

Re: exhaust note

I would go the bazzaz route over pc anything. its preferred, but not 100% necessary. you may want to look into an ecu reflash

Don't get a PC3, mail your ECU to OhioYJ on here and he'll flash the fuel map right into the computer (not to mention unlock all the factory restrictions, etc.).

What aftermarket header do you have? Or you want to purchase one?

MJS headers are great for aftermarket headers: http://shop.mjsperformance.com/produ...4&categoryId=3

Those with the Akra sound deep and awesome, not too loud at all.
