I am so happy to be able to start this thread! A little background on me and my bike, I bought it in February of this year with 5300 miles on it. I did my first track day July 11th of this year and followed it with two more and I am hooked!

I recently started a new job that pays wayyy better then my old one, which is why I can start doing this build.

My plan is too get the bike fully race/track ready by early May in time that I can take the learning curves course at Road America to get my race license for the year.


PARTS LIST (or at least what I can remember at this point)

-power commander with quick shift
-woodcraft engine covers
-woodcraft rearsets
-woodcraft chain guard
-520 conversion
-pipercross air filter
-factory pro +4 ignition advancer
-AGG racing block off plates (Already installed!)
-armour bodies superbike fairings
-shorai battery
-SS front and rear brakelines
-Penske rear shock
-ohlins steering dampner
-race tech gold valve kit for the forks


and then the few miscellaneous stuff like..
-tire warmers
-spare set of rims
-tank grip
-levers
-lap timer


I dont have much bought yet besides the block off plates and ignition advancer but next up is the armour bodies!! now onto the pictures!

Nice I look forward to it! I will be starting a job after I graduate in December and will be at black hawk a lot next year. I will be at any stt road America dates too.

Any ideas on paint schemes? Are you gonna rattle can it?

good to hear! Paint scheme is going to be the same yamaha blue and some custom decals from nick at NJG designs, you'll have to wait to see those!

track fairings are in! pictures will be up after work tonight around 11pm.

i bought the superbike kit so it has the tail with the seat and I noticed after trying a few times it is going to be a pain to get it on the bike. does anyone who has this kit have any pointers on how to get it on?

With patience. It'll go on, just don't force it.

What sort of foam are you going to use for padding?

AWESOME! I loves me a track build... I've got quite a list on my track build thread... Something you may want to take a look at to get some ideas. I know it's diff year/bikes but the list I've got built me a pretty solid track machine!

The reality is, these bikes don't really NEED any parts to go fast on a track other than tires, brake lines and a capable rider. The rest is all gravy.
