I purchased the bike wrecked from a coworker for $800, he managed to do a wheelie and then slid it into a car when he couldnt control it when he came down... This is how the bike looked before he wrecked it.
Now this is my starting point...
Then the day I got her home and was able to really take a look at what damage had been done. All but the tail and front fender were ruined as far as fairings go. Put a dent in the radiator and cracked the stator cover, broke the brake lever and brake res., and also ruined the headlight.
And now its time to roll in all the fun stuff. Given this is a budget build since this is my first bike. I have managed to find all but a few of my parts off ebay which has saved me a lot of coin.
Levers and brake light.
new stator cover
Levers, brake res, and new radiator installed on the bike, along with some fairing I picked up.
And this is the bike thrown together with the parts just kind of chilling there. Nice to see that is actually looks like a bike.
My original plan was to paint the bike satin white but since I dont have a good place to spray and it is to cold here to finish painting the fairings I have decided to try my hand at plastidip since I had 4 cans just laying around. Overall for what it is I think its going to look pretty BA, until I can actually get it painted.
I only have the side fairings left to spray so im hoping I can get this thing put back together in the next month. Its going to be a bitch since I had to buy a fairing bolt it off ebay and am going to have to guess my way around everything.
