Honda Vs Yamaha

I'm new to this forum (already posted in New Members area, I know the drill haha) But I come from 600RR.Net. I used to have a 2005 Honda CBR600RR

I got jipped on it, apparently It was a stolen bike. I didn't know. The VIN matched, but a CHP that pulled me over found a hand stamped VIN on the right covered by tape. Bleh, Lost my bike.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... Buying an R6 this weekend. So I was wondering if there was anyone else who have made the Honda-Yamaha transition.
I know the R6 sitting position is a more aggressive position. However, Is it MUCH more aggressive then the Honda? I rode my CBR in a Semi-Tuck anyways, so I'm wondering Will I be able to tell the difference? I'm buying the R6 no matter what, BUT I would like to know, anyone able to make the comparison for me?

Re: Honda Vs Yamaha

If you're buying it no matter what, then why does it matter what we tell you? Why not just check it out for yourself?

Also, it's "Gypped", if you're gonna go the 'slur' route..

welcome to the forum. I hope you've got your thick skin on when you log in...

Not trying to go the slur route. Didn't think it was a slur. Yeah I dealt with Honda Dudes on the other forum. Your brand is different. Everything else is the same, I'm used to it. I got thick skin. Reason I am asking is because I want to keep an open mind when I try it out, and by knowing what to expect I won't be sitting on this bike, or shifting or riding saying to myself " My honda did this/ didn't do this" So I keep an open mind, and give the yamaha the chance it deserves. Does that make any sense?

also I wanted to test the waters for how you guys react to posts.
Not scared yet haha

The R6 has an almost non-existent low-end, but it's a total screamer up above ~9k rpms... If you wanna get a feel for what the bike is like, take it to redline in first once and see if you can keep the grin off your face.

The pink wheels should be interesting though.

I like that! haha I doubt it cause the low end of the RR was THERE but it wasn't magical in first. Power wheelies in first were non existent for me. I am just ready to go to the track and take this to the canyons! haha.. Thanks for the answer bro! ... Anything else awesome about this bike that I've been missing out on?

I like them though, I find it unique. The seller said he would put on/give me the black ones. I might take em cause i could sell em! lol

I should go examine if you guys have a selling rule on here!

600RR.Net has a 60 days as a member and over 100 posts in order to do selling on there!

I mean... The razor sharp handling is there, and if you know what you're doing you can power wheelie the R6 in 2nd... I've even lifted the front on some tracks in 3rd for a wee bit. Just ride it and see what's up. FWIW, the 3rd gen plastics are much easier to work with.. And they look better, IMO.. I'd go with a 3rd gen if I was you.

Take all the freebies you can get! On this site you need 60 days to sell something, and a good reputation is recommended but not required.
