Whats up all? Try not to flame me for this but I ride a cbr600rr. I always wanted an R6 but when the time came to purchase I was just to short for an R6 so I went with Honda. So before everyone casts judgement on me, I want to inform the natives that I am looking into purchasing an R6 for my wife. She is taller than me by the way, plus I found a great deal on an 06. Heres the catch.... It has 30k miles on it. Its from a trusted dealer and they will hand over the title for $4500 so I am not worried about getting ripped off. I feel that this would be a great bike for her to enter the 600cc world. All in all I just want to hear what current riders think about getting a bike with 30k miles on it. I know that regardless of the brand these bikes are built to last and with proper maintenance they should make it into the 100's. So what do you guys think?
Yes 4500 is too much, you can find one newer with less miles for the same price. The motor as long as you take care of it is just like the motor on your CBR, as long as you keep it up, it will last as long as you want it to.
I think the cbr600rr is a great bike. My brother has one and I have an 05 r6 and we ride together all the time and have even switched off before and I think his bike is sick.
Don't get me wrong, I like the r6 better, personally. But I think as long as you love riding and love what you ride, who cares what anyone else thinks?.. Unless you ride a scooter...
Anyway, I would try and stay under 25k miles. That's just me though. (:

Buddy took my air box off, Dropped screw into throttle bodies, Never told me, started bike and BOOM
I would have liked to see that....
