I hope they have some magic tricks because I dont see the s1krr engine making enough power reliably to make it happen....

BMW in motogp?!!!?? Sweet and finally! Just a few months ago the said they weren't going to with current rules, or maybe they referring to a full factory prototype team.

Tentative field of 23 riders with 12 prototype and 11 CRT bikes... that's a lot of CRT backmarkers that the Aliens have to potentially filter through...

BMW probably doesn't expect to win or even be on the podium, but just getting their engine in the mix is great R&D for the company and it's future down the road. Just a better way of refining an already great package which will filter down to buyers of their top notch S1000RR. BMW really did turn some heads in WSBK this year for being new to the game.
