Any one know what this is?

So when I was putting my new fairings on I stumbled apon this laying in the pile of my old fairing pieces... Anyone have any clue as to where this goes, and if its important?

Any info would be appreciated thanks!

Look under the seat. Looks like the piece that goes between the tank and battery

Bike: Sold off in pieces.
Re: Any one know what this is?

Not ringing a bell... Surprisingly..

EDIT: maybe it's the piece of rubber that you use to secure your battery into the battery tray?

Re: Any one know what this is?

I looked under the seat nothing looked like it was missing anything, No place for it to secure battery either sadly... haha. I have an 04 r6, I am thinking it goes to the front center vent as well, thing is I remember looking there when my bike was apart and it kind of fit but didn't look right. Hopefully its not too important because It is waaay to much effort to pull all my fairings off just for a piece of rubber haha.

Re: Any one know what this is?

I would put it back on. One more time taking the fairings off and mounting them back on will serve you well in the long run IMO.

Yea, I suppose I'll give it a whirl, maybe I can find a short cut when I have a better chance to look at everything... Thanks for the help!

Do it enough and you get fast. My first time took a day lol, now I could pull every fairing in 20min easy.

I'd put it back just because its gotta be there for some kinda reason
