Ok, my price range is between $200-300. My main brands I have in consideration are AGV, ICON, & Bell. HJC is fine but I already had a HJC helmet so I kinda want something different. I tried on the K4 the other week and a size M (which is what I take) seemed like it could cause some pressure, not sure if it will break in and that will go away and just be comfortable then or not but just thinking about it for now.
Icon has a ton of helmets but I have yet to try one on. Same with bell. Can I get some feedback as to what helmets people have and favor in this price range? My bike is white, with some red accents in, so a white/black/red color scheme would be perfect as well although I am not terribly worried about color.
All helmets should be somewhat tight on your face as it's new. It'll break in once you wear it a few times. AGV is good. I have the K3 and love it and use it for the track. It only cost me like $220 too.

icon helmets are actually made by hjc. icon just puts their graphics on them and charges you more.
the bell star helmet is a great helmet. not sure you're gonna find an agv in your price range, tho.
i would try to get a helmet that's the most opposite of the colors of your bike as possible. matching your gear should be avoided if at all possible...

Agv I can get quiet a few, k3's, k4's, and closeout horizons I have seen for in the 300s. Bell has some nice ones, I almost got a closeout carbon one for $330 but was out of my size when I called to order.
I always thought Icon was a pretty reliable brand? Or am I just paying for the graphics and not the actual helmet itself with them?
Icon is not the way to go. Try on everything else you mentioned. Buy what fits best. Have an expert in a shop be the judge of that. The hjc rps 10 is an awesome lid.

Make sure it fits your head first and foremost....most brands have different head shape. AGV k3 are super nice for the price....so are the hjc. Sportbiketrackgear has some super good deals on bell star right now too.
