Bike: 09 R6 - 08 RR (SOLD)
My 2 month progress since I've had the 09 :)

Hey Brosifs. Well besides a brake bleed and DOT 4 refill, I think I've gotten the bike to where I want it for the time being. I purchased it for $6k (no sales tax in AZ) off a 1 owner adult in November with 6,400 miles on it. It replaced my 08 CBR 600RR Matte black Graffiti and only because I wanted something "different". When I bought the bike the only modification was a FE. Since then, I have listed the mods below that I have installed in the 2 months that I've owned the bike. Any suggestions/ideas on more mods are always welcome! For the record though, I like the look of the stock windshield so that's staying. I also like quiet exhausts (and my low end power) so the OEM exhaust setup is staying for now. The stock Gearing/Sprockets are also ideal for me so I'm not changing that as well. I think she is ready for the track eh!?

BAUCE Racing ECU Tune
BMC Track Filter
Professional Suspension setup (for my height/weight)
Motodynamic LED sequential Integrated Tail light in smoke color
Brand new front and rear Pilot Powers
HotBodies front Flushmounts

Running 2.75 Qts of Amsoil 10W40 Full Syn with K&N oil filter
OEM coolant
OEM DOT4
OEM Fork Fluid
OEM chain and sprockets
OEM plugs

Short Clip of the bike taken yesterday.

If anything, I kinda like the sound of this guys setup (Bruiser on here)
I'm am though unsure as to the exact setup. I know he cut the stock can down 5inches, but I'm not sure if he has the OEM headers and cat and just a y pipe to delete the muffler? Or if he has the y pipe that deletes the cat as well!

Re: My 2 month progress since I've had the 09 :)

from personal experience i hated my y pipe...went through 3 different set ups...stock slip on with y pipe...graves slip on with y pipe...leo vince full system and finally am now happy with my taylor made full system

im pretty positive he still has the cat on there still has that muffled sound to it but i could be wrong...since you dont want loud then just make the stock exhaust a shorty or get a slip on of your choice as long as you have the cat on there your bike will not be loud

bike is looking might clean thogh..jelly of your color scheme

Hey man good looking bike! As far as mods go it looks like you hit the nail on the head for tasteful mods! Sucks that you dont like tinted windscreens because it would probably look sick with a dark smoked one!

From viewing the YouTube video it sure looks like the muffler has been removed. As far as Y-pipe or aftermarket headers it is hard to tell from the video.

Re: My 2 month progress since I've had the 09 :)

Thanks for the compliments guise! I love this year/color scheme. The gold stickers, forks and rims with matte black side fairings are what really sold me on this particular bike!

As far as that video of the exhaust, I'm assuming it's the stock headers WITH cats and that he stuck a y-pipe on there (not eliminating the cats) and shortened the stock tip. I just think it would be WAY louder if it didn't have the cats.

the stock screen LOOKS fine, but you will find that a double-bubble will give you something to hide behind while you're at the track.

also, stock gearing is a little high for just about any track in the country aside from road america. generally, track day riders eventually go to at least a +2 rear set-up or a -1f +2r.

i thought i'd keep mine stock, too, but i eventually optimized for comfort and safety. now it's track only; the sale of my street fairings funded most of my work...

Well for the track i would get race fairings, you know just in case.

For the street it looks pretty damn good.
