Streetfighter conversion advice needed

I want to convert my Y reg r6 into a streetfighter but need information on how to do it. I could use information on different handle bars and what I would need to change with them (yoke/risers/if cables need to be lengthened etc.) if there's any other information on a streetfighter conversion that could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Streetfighter conversion advice needed

Search a bit... There are tons of threads about this here.

Check for GYTR parts, it's made by Yamaha.

Remove front fairing, remove side fairing, put a cage (it looks great but expensive), put a single beam headlight (or not if you're a redneck), etc.

BTW : Welcome to the forum, there's a section for new members

Re: Streetfighter conversion advice needed

You might want to check with some of the stunt guys or google dirt bike bar conversion kits. I havent been into that scene in like 7 years, so I dont know any of the names and companies really anymore, but its been being done for a long time now. I wanna say LSL makes a decent setup. Its pretty easy though.

Here, this is a decent place to start so you can virtual finger some of the parts.

Whatever you do OP, PLEASE don't take the easy way out and put one of these pieces of shit on your bike. They look aweful. If you don't think so your taste is questionable. I don't care if it's one of the few DOT approved setups. It's hideous.

I would like to beg Acerbis to stop making headlights

I think you should mount one as a center headlight on the old camaro.

: Nah, I got the Momo one with the nitrous buttons...

J/K, original wheel in the car. If I was any taller it would be all over my legs it's so big. The car is very original looking as far as the restoration. Just the suspension, and some motor work and I am currently running an overdrive trans in it too for streetability.
