5'2" rider what would be the safest option to drive lowering what besides shaving the seat?

Honestly? Shaving the seat really is the very best way - no other methods that I've seen work without an adverse handling effect.

Now, if you do decide to go the lowering route, take it to someone who does race suspension, and have them do it, so that the proper geometry is preserved.

are you an agressive rider? or just a casual rider. if your agressive shave your seat and save your handling on the bike. but if your just a casual rider that rides around town, then lower the bike.

I've lowered my bike about 2 inches myself, not hard at all if you have any machanics skills. I didn't like how it rides so I brought it back to stock height.

Shaving the seat isn't going to help someone that is 5'2". Your going to have to lower it.

you can shave about 2 1/2 inches off of the seat and still be comfy.

look at Jason Disalvo, he's 5'3. think about it!!!

2 1/2 inches leaves no cushion on your seat. I have a custom corbin seat w/ minimum amount of cushion but won't give 2 1/2 stand over height (probably 1 1/2). it's in my garage anybody want it, used it for ~6 months i'll sell for half the price I paid for.

I'm 5'3" with the corbin I could tip-toe on my bike without lowering it. add an inch w/ lowering link gives atleast 2 1/2", with this I could backup my bike without dismounting.

check lowering link posts and the post 05R6PhillyChick mentioned.

I'm 5'3" and I still ride at stock height. Haven't even shaved the seat yet (soon). I only get the balls of my feet on the ground but I'm not worried about dropping it. I really don't like the idea of messin' with the handling, this bike is awsome the way it is good luck
