problem after lowering

I lowered the bike 2 inches in the back with an adjustable link. and slid the forks about an inch and strapped the front end. Problem is it turns left fine but I really have to fight it to get it to turn right and it doesn't feel any where as stable. what did i do wrong?

first make sure you lowered the both front fork are exactly the same hight. and did you lower the front and rear the same amount? i would take off the straps and just pull the forks up more too. good luck oh the straps might be binding when your turning too.

strapping the front end is only good for drag racing and wont do the bikes handling any good at all. Drop the front end by raising the forks thru the triple trees

not to beat the dead horse, but yea straps are good for dragracing, not handling, raise your forks.

You said you lowered the back and the front, but that makes no sense.

Lowering the front on its own has the effect of making the bike turn faster.

Raising the back on its own has the same effect.

So the normal tweaks to improve the turning would be to raise the back and drop the front (effectivley standing the bike on it's nose)

By lowering the back as well as the front you have made the bike harder to turn.

Remove the front strap and then put the rear back up and you should see an improvement.

1 note of caution is the more you raise the rear or lower the front the less stable the bike gets in a straight line at speed.
