well i just bought a 02 r6 and love it so far...i bought the gsxr in late january last yr and in last september i lowsided at about 120 in a slight left, i hit a chain link fence and the bike flip over 500 ft..i dont remember much but i had seven fractures in my back and am just now able to ride again...i have a whole new respect for bike but still love them...figured id share, not eveyone get a second chance and i hope everyone rides safe....i know this is a yamaha site but please dont bash the gsxr to bad, i dont blam the bike, bike never let me down and ran great...it was a worn out tire that let go in the turn, ironic thing is that week i was putting on new tires, stretch and a few other things..oh well moving on to beter things i hope.....

slock slipstone tire...lol...the police report says i may have slide on gravel but the tire sucked also...i ride on pilot powers now i cant belive the differnce...

I feel you pain! well not the broken bones part. I now have an 05 raven but 3 weeks ago I had a cbr 600rr! I was doing bout 50 and a woman in a van straight ran a stop sign! totalled the bike with less that 20 miles on it! got off lucky was wearing full gear but the bike and brain bucket took the brunt of it.

But its all good cuz now I have a newer and better bike that love!

think about it tho 120mph crash!! thats insane! i think about it sometimes... like how far do you think i would slide. then i think man i need to get some leather pants.

i only went about 30 ft....when the bike lowsided it hit the curb and throw me into a fence...the bike kept on going and started to flip...the fence saved me though, obsorbed the impact i guess...i wasnt wearing gear, just a helmet..i only got minor rash...
