Service Intervals

Hey guys I'm down in Australia and about to pick up my new BLACK '07 R6 in a few weeks WOOHOO

I asked the guy at the shop when it needs to be serviced and they told me 10,000klms but then I was told by someone else thats its every 6,000klms. Is anyone able to shed some light on this for me.

Cheers

Re: Service Intervals

I haven't had mine for too long, but my previous bikes I have always done the oil every 5k kms and the oil and filter at 10k kms.
I'm even further down in Australia than you - try Tassie.

Good luck with the new bike and ride safe.

Re: Service Intervals

If I'm not mistaken it is 600 miles, 1000miles , 3000 miles and every 3000 miles after that OR 600 miles then six months later and every six months follwing if you don't hit the milage. (sorry I didn't convert it to KM's but whatever that adds up to.) You will be able to double check it in your manual when you pick up the bike though....

I may be off with my #'s because I am not at home, and I don't have my manual in front of me... if I am wrong, someone correct me, OR I will double check when I get home and I will edit my post.
