New R6 owner, Scottsdale AZ

Hey guys,

Just joined and wanted to say hey. I've always wanted a bike, and rather than spend more money modding my Supra, I finally got one. This is my first bike, so I went against some of the advice of others by buying a new bike, instead of a used one. I couldn't resist though! I've put 30 miles on it learning to ride around my neighborhood and so far, so good. It's an amazing feeling, riding a bike.

I just got it and am already looking to buy extra things for it, which means less money for my 240sx and Supra! (damn) Anyway, I'm mainly looking to do cosmetic mods - nothing performance wise. I don't need any more power. I've been doing a bunch of research and first thing want to delete the rear fender. I've been looking at the Hotbodies undertail kit, but not sure if it fits the '07, or if there is a difference.

Nice to join the community.

Oh, and before I get the "GEAR!" comments, I was just sitting on it for the camera right after I got it, not riding it.

Thanks.

jk...congrats on the bike and welcome to the forum! i'm in mesa, we should meet up and ride sometime. as for the fender eliminator, you could use parts from the stock fender to make a smaller plate holder...i also have some turn signals for sale if you want to clean the back up a bit

Haha, yes I'm a noob, but looking to learn the ropes and be responsible. I have a Supra for speed, so that's not why I bought the bike. Maybe I'll get into performance later, but I just like the open feeling of having a bike to cruise around in.

Anyway, thanks for the tip on the plate holder. I'll check into that. Lemme know what kind of signals you have. Any pics would be nice.

I'll definitely be down for a ride once I become comfortable. I need to get some more experience and need to take the course before I make any street trips yet!

Welcome to the forum. Take the MSF course if you haven't done so yet. And get some good gear and always wear it, regardless of speed and distance that you are going. *cough* Johnny *cough*

Here is a pic of my FE, VFX kit, I love this one myself.

Welcome. I'd also recc. taking an MSF course.

You should check out devil-riders.com, it's an arizona based riders group. Most of the guys in it are down around your area. There is a meet coming up on sunday.

Thanks. I've been looking around and think I might get an integrated taillight to clean it up, actually.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am definitely taking the course. I'm gonna check into it for either this weeked or next.

Yea, I've heard of that Arizona group. I think I read about them on azstreetscene.com.
