blinkers

my turn signal light is staying on and some times it flashes on and off and my blinker light on the left front is out which is why im guessing its staying on right? how to change it? also if the blinker light is staying on but if you hit a hard bump or something it will flash or go off then come back on a few mins later then to me that would be a short in the wiring?

Re: blinkers

The way you decribe it it seems as if you have a short, where not sure. To find it hook up your multi-meter to the frame and the other end to each individual wire going into the signal, if nothing the go to the fuse box and test the wires from there to the signal checking each for continuity.......

Re: blinkers

having one of your lights out usually make the blinker on the same side blink faster seeing that it is under a smaller load rather than staying on

Re: blinkers

Most turn signal relays are amp driven, and if ther isn't enough draw on it it will stay on, and if the is too much it will blink really fast. Replace your bulb, and problem solved.

Re: blinkers

to change the bulb there should be screw to remove on the bottom. this will help seperate the housing from the glass piece. THen simply remove the bulb , replace with a new one and close.
